Thanks to the help and encouragement of our own Mike Brewington, my drone capabilities and backlog of assignments has increased exponentially. Thanks Mike!
I've been working, thought we were losing Amazon as the amount of parcels we handled had dropped to (comparatively) next to nothing before I had the surgery. While I was out, Amazon decided to stop their direct delivery and return to USPS, and our workload tripled just like that. I have my rented lens in hand now, tested it out at the airport when it arrived Tuesday.
Had to keep watch on the storm approaching from the west, it had created a small tornado in the far western part of Ohio.

A2A quiet for 3 days?!
Where is everyone?
Stopped by DFW for a minute today. Always good to see a 747 - loud and proud!

Ack, the Dayton show is this weekend, I forgot completely. Looks like I won't be joining you. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a floatplane show with the wx we're having today.
On an assignment right next to DFW , took a break and lo and behold an Antonov does a go around and eventually landed on the runway closest to Founders.
Just got back from Tampa. I love flying through Florida clouds.
Question for the MacBook users. We got Cat a MacBook Air when she graduated. She loaded a sunset photo as a screen saver, and the image looks very dull. Nothing like it looks on my calibrated monitor. Is there a quick setting that can be changed to improve this, or do I need to calibrate?
Here's the photo. A few years ago she and I were on our way to a summer hockey game, but this was so beautiful we had to pull over and admire it. Luckily I had my camera.
Had a very long day today and had a bit of time to kill prior to a dusk shot so I took a short hop to Founders Plaza. The place was packed with photographers and videographers so I figured something was up and then it appeared, the Antonov 124. Unfortunately it was on final for the opposite side of the airport, but then the power came up and so did the gear. I'd love to have what that go around cost When he appeared again it was for a final to the runway closest to Founders, fortuitous
So here's my take on "24 in the green".................
That airplane's arrival has been talked about all week. Someone on the DFW Spotters FB group gave a heads up that it was coming to pick up a flight simulator at DFW/
Looks like my little FB group is doing well! almost 2000 members. Fun fun.
I was shooting a project five minutes from Founders and hadn't stopped to eat since before dawn, so I headed out for a break. I knew something was up because it was like ants at Founders. There was a lot of head shaking and groaning when she showed up on the east side, then the unimaginable go around took place and 30 minutes later (and a lot of Jet A) there it was on final for the west side.
