I had a job at the Arlington, TX airport this week, photographing this Lear 45 for a client.

Have a great weekend!

Yesterday was a picture perfect Lone Star day, 90 degree crossing for the Cub flights and a bit stout in the early am for my drone work, but all in all a "gimme" Th next 10-14 look pretty dismal however. Headed to DFW for an assignment before the crud rolls in. Chandler and I got several hours of Cub time in yesterday and my drone logbook added three hours, along with some helicopter time. The only disappointment was that darn $800 Sony RX0II, what. sawing and a miss. I sent a long analysis to my guy inside Sony last night. GoPro has invited me out to talk with their "pocket protector" department about developing something with a large sensor that actually works.

I'll post a clip from the RX0II footage tonight when I get back from my DFW shoot.

Have a great Saturday!

Lovely Nick, and yes I am out, staying at my daughter's for a couple days to see how things go. (She insisted) I left thank you gifts for the staff too, and no, it wasn't decks of playing cards.... We joked about that all week long.

Ah, "Out" but not yet home. Well, take it easy........ day 5........

Sony is scrambling for reasons that their new "action camera" footage looks like this..............

My guess is the reason is, it is what it is.

Wow Jim! that IS terrible.

I can't imagine they did test it on something that vibrates before releasing it to the consumer. Wow.

Love me some B-17 !

And now I'm sitting in my own chair in my own home. Not completely comfortable yet, and the yard needs serious mowing before the city plants their lawn ornament on it. Not sure how I'll get that done.

I know Zane, when I looked at the footage I felt like I was stepping back about five years in technology.

Well, I managed to get the lawn mowed by myself. Have come to the realization that I can only depend on me to get things done around here, so I took my time, didn't sweat so that the surgical glue didn't loosen.

Laura,
If I were close by I'd mow your lawn for you.
Gotta be someone around or some kid that would do it for you.
Take care of your self.

I spent most of the weekend capturing a 5M sq. ft. logistics complex . Dawn/dusk/ best daytime views, still have helicopter and drone perspectives but I'll have to wait for the wind and weather to give me a break. Shot this last night around 9 and was back at the complex at 6 this morning.

Speaking of candy... the store where I found the Violet Crumble is closing. He's well into his 80s and his health is failing. He tried to find a buyer, but couldn't close any deals.

https://wisechoiceuk.com/about-us/

"Sheila and I had had the American dream of owing our own business from the first day we landed in Detroit on August 19, 1969. We had emigrated with our two children Sian & Rans from a small coal mining village in S.Wales, U.K. called Cwmgwrach ( Valley of the Witches ) Our stay in Detroit was short lived, as my job as a cutting tool salesman brought me to Huber Heights, Ohio in 1971.

Christmas of 1996 an offer was made to us by the owner of a small British store in Tipp City,Ohio. To buy it’s assets and establish our own business and identity. Our American dream was just about to become true. We bought the assets and established our company under the name of Wise Choice British Foods,Gifts & Candies Inc; The name Wise being an acronym for (W)ales, (I)reland, (S)cotland & (E)ngland.

We opened the store on June 2, 1997. The opening ceremony was performed by the Mayor of Huber Heights and his wife. Sheila ran the store full time until her illness struck her in December 1999. Today our business has expanded onto the internet, where you can order on line from any part of the States or Worldwide.

Our business goal has and always will be, to serve you the customer, in the best possible manner we can. We will treat you with respect and honesty, as you are the greatest asset our company has."

... I will leave you to read the rest of the story, make sure you have some tissues nearby
