Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, our daughter is out of immediate danger and hopefully on the mend. Jennifer developed a blood disorder when Faith was born where the Mom's blood type or some antigen fights the baby's. This malady worsens with each subsequent pregnancy and when Hall came along next she had to have a transfusion and spent a month in the NICU. Anemia is a side effect of this whole thing as I understand it so Jennifer battles that. R>rising 5 kids pretty much by herself she has a tendency to run hard and not take the best care of herself and it caught up with her. Quick action along with a few days in the hospital and several units of blood, got her back on an even keel.
The past week has been pretty hectic, but I wanted you all to know how much I appreciate your caring friendship. Finally late yesterday I got to the hangar and spent an hour in the air watching the sun go down, unique therapy but it has proven 100% effective over the 45 years I've had the privilege of being able to do it.
Your watermark reminds me that I have a question for The Trust. Long ago I bought the animated version of my watermark from Photologo but I have never been able to get it to work. The company is vague on the workflow and I'm stumped. Has anyone gotten that and been successful? I'm sure it's a step that I'm missing but the fact that they don't actually give you a tutorial kind of leaves you hanging. I figured that you just open it up and drag it to the image like the fixed signature but that does nothing. When you open it your just see a box with the layer checkerboard covering it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
The only way I can see it working is if it's an animated GIF. I'm not sure you can layer an animated GIF onto say a tiff or png and have the gif layer animate. What company is it from?

Will have to look into that one didn’t know you could animate that 😂
Basically their website is vague because you can't use the animated version of the watermark unless you're creating a video file or if the entire image is an animated GIF. I asked their chat support. You can't for example layer the animated part over a normal high quality image file format and have the watermark be animated. You just end up with a normal static watermark. The entire image has to be an animated GIF or video file, which is basically useless if you want a large high quality image. That's why their examples show a slow pan around an image while the signature animates.

Thanks Zane! Nice sunrise! I caught that on the way to my assignment this morning but was running a bit behind so no images. Couldn't do any better than you did!
Just got a call from my friend Darrell Lowrance's wife Kathleen. Darrell died from a massive stroke. Kathleen said he had watched a series of aviation videos and then went to bed, that was that. You'll recognize the name, "LOWRANCE", he invented the "fish finder". Darrell flew his Pitts S2B, Stemme Motor Glider, 182RG, Swearingen Rocket, and Pilatus PC12 right up to his passing. He owned the hangar across and down one to the left from HQ.
Sorry to hear that Jim, although if you're going to choose a way to go, that's one of the better ways.
Another unique aircraft at the MAPS Air Museum is this reconnaissance version of the Grumman F-9F Cougar. I've always liked the lines of the Panther and Cougar line, but that may be because one of the first airplane movies I remember seeing is The Bridges at Toko-Ri
Right you are Erich, not too bad at all as far as the top 10 ways to exit. Life was good to Darrell, upper 70's with a sweet wife and a stable of planes, I'm aiming higher though, already have the first component, need a bigger stable and more years.......
Oh man! I just realized that the Alliance airshow and Wings over Houston are the same weekend. Having missed Alliance the last few years I really want to go, but Houston also has the Snowbirds, who I've never seen. Why the heck would they schedule 2 airshows so close together at the same time??
I could have sworn they were on two separate weekends, a week apart.
