Very pretty Laura. Is your surgery still schedule for this week? I want to keep tabs on you and be praying for you from start to finish and through what I hope will be a speedy recovery.
Thanks Jim, no, I had to push it back due to work. Now it'll be 22 Apr. Very thankful I had today off. Seems most of the state of Ohio's mail delivery was suspended for today, but the Dayton area is open as normal. Praying that none of the carriers suffers as a result.

Currently (9:31 a.m.) here in NE Ohio it is -5 F (wind chill -25). Our "high" today may reach +7. No mail delivery (or much of anything else going on) over here today, and that was the smart play.

So much for that forecast high of +7. Now (4:00 p.m.) it is -7 with a wind chill (feels like) -25. Yikes!
All set up for yet another dusk shot, guess I won’t try to garner any sympathy over the sunny and 55 conditions I’m being subject to. Just another reason I love The Lone Star, gonna be 73 by Sunday...................and that’s with a + sign before it
It's heading our way now. A couple of hours ago it was 29F, now it's 12F with 20 mph winds. Thankfully we won't be seeing the extremes you've all had in the Midwest, and by the weekend we'll be back to normal, then 50's early next week.
Headed to Cedar Rapids airport today. Was a balmy-22F on the drive down. Warmed up to tropical-2F by the time I arrived in Detroit! GOTTA LOVE MOTHER NATURE!!! Dan
Cold weather isn't all bad. Mother nature treated us with some nice Sun dogs yesterday. Sorry for the low quality photo, cell phone is all I had at work. Dan

Yikes! I gotta say, I do not miss those days in Illinois at all. Funny, they didn't bother me when we lived there, but it would take several dump trucks filled with cash for me to think of going back. When I was selling CAT in the midwest I'd stand out on those job sites for hours talking with clients, not in the temps that are there currently, but in pretty cold weather. Come to think of it, the weather is second in line to my reasons for not going back to Illinois. Abe must be rolling in his grave.
12:30pm and it's a whopping 10° F and wind chill is sitting at -2° F, then snowing later tonight.
Today was the first day I didn't take off my hooded sweatshirt while I was working, took a couple hours before I worked up enough heat to start sweating enough to shed it.
Nope, Albino Squirrels have all white fur and pink eyes. Google says there aren't any of these in Texas. They are in very specific areas of the country, venue as specific as particular cities, like Dixon Illinois and parts of North Carolina.
