Had a technically challenging request from a good friend involved with "Wings Over Dallas" this weekend. I ended up spending Fri/Sat/Sun shooting that great event. The challenge was to mount three POV cameras, one being a 360 version, on "That's All Brother' to capture the paratrooper drops from unique perspectives. Kevin Hong, the team from "That's All Brother", and me put our heads together and we ended up with some wonderful rare perspective captures of that historic aircraft doing what it did so ably on D-Day. I had no idea what the air flow in the different locations was going to do to the capture devices so the whole thing was experimental. Thanks to excellent equipment, state of the art mounts and my previous experience with "The Spirit of Alliance", the effort was a rousing success. Heck, I was just happy to see three cameras still attached as the C47 taxied back in!

Jim, It was good to see you this weekend and very nice to meet the famous Chandler!
Challenging indeed with the sun doing it's thing with the seemingly Texas standard west facing airshow ramp...and some beautiful late October heat and blue sky.
My show weekend started with a phone call out of the blue from the CAF B-29 Squadron asking if I was interested in a flight aboard that airplane they call FiFi"!!! .... needless to say I immediately called work and told them I would be coming in late on Friday!
Such an amazing piece of history, a great crew and a dream come true! Feeling blessed!

Airshow season is winding down, so we'll have to do some archive mining.
I have my first airshow in years coming up this weekend at Wings Over Homestead. It's been so long since I hoisted a 500/4 that I make no promises (), and I'm in 26-hour workdays so getting those digits through camera and computer will be a real challenge... but I'm at least going to get me some clicks and some good times with my son. I'll find something to post, too.
Maybe a bit to much on the sharpening have to do that one again maybe
Re edited him lost a bit of the blue looks like a bit of halo but it's also a case of shadows that are cast because of the light
