Cool! But, um, was it raining or does your sensor need a lot of TLC?

Oooooooh! Busted Glenn! What's it been since we cleaned your sensors last, over a great burger, four years? I'll bring my shovel when I next come to Austin
Remember when Chandler and I shot the Professional Bull Riding 2017 Championships last Fall? We did it just for fun, no special access, kind of nice. Well it seems that our imagery somehow made it's way to their marketing department and this afternoon that department called to ask if I'd consider being the still photographer/cinematographer for this year's championship event. I'll have to admit to envisioning the imagery that could have been captured if I had my usual access at last year's event. I'm looking forward to the challenge, and the shots/clips to follow. Got a new Cinema camera coming from Sony, they are scheduled to release it in early June and it's the first of it's kind in the world, they claim the image quality is out of this world. Three chip technology, instead of the typical single sensor, is the secret they say, greater dynamic range, very sophisticated color science, weebeesee!
Laura, thanks for the reports from Dayton. I abandoned my thoughts of coming out for this some weeks ago. I spent much of this past week in Baltimore. I'm finding it difficult to get motivated to do much more than work and try to keep up with what needs to be done at home.
Cool how they have displayed Memphis Belle in-flight, instead of the ground display they had with Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby. I'll get there someday.
Also glad to hear you are managing to recover from your wrist injury.
Anyone get a glimpse of Lady Jo, Nick or Niall at the Royal Wedding? I watched a little of it this morning, what a photographic feast, beauty and pageantry everywhere. How nice to see an event that supercedes all the daily garbage we have to deal with, everyone just seems happy to be caught up in the moment. Our media narrators were trying to interject a feminist agenda into it all, but I think they just cannot turn it off, even for a completely neutral event, it all seemed beautiful, genuine and delightful, a fairy tale and Lord knows we could use a few more fairy tales.

Well..... anyone who clocked me at the Royal Wedding ..... may like to consider a trip to the opticians...... I did get The Call about a month ago. Had to explain that I've retired from butlering and chauffeuring – and I never did drive horses.
By all but the meanest of accounts it was a great occasion, enjoyed by thousands in person and millions by TV. It’s been good weather lately here in the UK, and a nice sunny day always helps with these things. Thea watched it in catchup mode – dispensing much needed fashion advice to the black box in the corner of our lounge.
#3 is mighty sharp shot for an air shot. The "NO STEP" on the left wing is crisp and despite the thru-the-prop angle the right wing is easily readable. Yikes!
It is my considered opinion that they would have been fortunate to have you in any capacity Nick, quality and character never go out of style. The day did appear idyllic, the imaging opportunities had to be endless.
