Glad to hear it, Vic. I've never minded the storms, but I remember too many occasions when the power would go out "in the old days" and my grandparents turning the oven on (gas, and had to be lit with a match in the hole) and piling into one bed to stay warm. They also had the refrigerator that was in this ad...
and yes, I learned how to get that blasted thing open during those power failures!!

Thanks for the concern, we are good here in Middleborough, MA we kept our power through the storm and got about 12 to 14 inches of snow on the ground. Brutally cold & windy today and even worse tomorrow but after that temps. start going up with no snow in the 10 day forecast. We're inland but coastal towns faired worse than we did even areas of downtown Boston near the harbor flooded.
You can come here to Bahrain or even to warmer Dubai
In Dubai the low is 60F with average daily of high 60's or even mid 70's, cooler in Bahrain with lower 60's and high 50's at night.
December was a VERY busy month for me, with eight different jets to photograph.
Unfortunately, during Christmas, my wife and I both got sick with bad colds and allergies, so we've been hibernating, more or less.
Photographed this aircraft right before Christmas, the broker spent around $1.5 million on upgrading the interior, it looks very nice, in case you are in the market for a Falcon 50.
We have a common saying in Arabic which translates to: "If my house is too small for you, your place will be in our eyes"
and another one: "Your place is in our eyes before our house"
If only the entire world had a heart as warm as yours Anwar. I always liked the song "Imagine" by John Lennon, well I have to clarify that by saying I like the tune, the lyrics are blatantly communist and pagan and I would "Imagine" that Mr. Lennon and Mr. Lenin have long since realized that neither of those belief systems work, near term or eternally. But, "Imagine" for a moment what the world would be like if the Mustang Air to Air ethic were to take hold on that scale. Think of what could be accomplished with the trillions upon trillions of dollars that the world now spends on things devoted to killing and not being killed. Alas, we are a fallen race and that has been our condition for a long, long time, but it's not how we were designed originally.
Anyway, I guess my point is, it's nice to see a glimpse of how it was meant to be every once in a while.

I think I know what you mean Jim. I for one have become sick of seeing images from poor and broken parts of the world. Places where women and children routinely endure unspeakable privation and some of the men are well feed and watered and have plenty of money to spend on guns, RPGs, and other means of killing each other.
It's turned a little colder. over here in the UK - but nothing like the eastern side of the US and Canada. Hope all is well with our folks up there.
Not seen Stevez around for a while - did he check in during the holiday season? Last I remember was him rescuing his sister.

I think I just set a record , I've been sitting on my couch at HQ for several hours reading a new book on DaVinci Resolve 14. I’m not sure that I’ve ever been still for that amount of time here, other than editing marathons which don’t count.
I should have put a cool fireplace in here, one of those panoramic format hobbies that are kind of like holograms, hmmmmmmm.........
One could just plug it into their new $14,000.!!!!!!!!iMac Pro, Yikes! Still working on that whole scenario. I'm sure that they are incredible, but , just Wow!
Finally got out of the house today, spent about 3 hours at the museum. Brought mostly manual focus lenses with me. The C-124 was open for checking out the interior, and signs are up all over about Memphis Belle coming in May.
