Great travel shots; is this your first? Children are a lot of work but so worth it ... they're wonderful.

TOPP --- my second in a day or so ...
busted again
Did you mean my bunny "is this your first"? If so, no, she is not my daughter. Last July, my sister-in-law passed away a week after giving birth to her third girl (the bunny), and since then, she became my bunny. Her name is Shahad (Arabic for honey). She has 2 elder sisters, Shouq (Arabic for longing) and Amina, and they are living with their grand mother as she (GM) wanted to have them.
I have a daughter, Shurooq (Arabic for Sunrise) 13 years old and a son, Naser (Arabic for Who Helps) 12 years old.

Wonder and most memorial image for me Jan. This jet, both pre gun and post gun placement, covered my "six", and those of all soldiers, in Vietnam for my 2 combat tours and did it well. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting 4 POW's ,3 flew F4's and 1 was the first Hanoi Hilton POW- E. Alvarez I wish we had the A10 Warthog available then to help. Hell hath no fury like the A10. "Puff The Magic Dragon gunship" came close but was an easy target.
Crisp, sharp photo and glad to see the F4 still flying.

I know these are lousy images taken from 50 years ago on slides but just posted for FYI. The POW's were from 2015. ...Show more →
Cool to see some photo's from that era and the POW's, and thank you for your service Dan.
Yeah they thought a gun wasn't necessary in those days but after numerous failures of then new sidewinders they made the decision to ad a gun but I think the Marines experimented with gun pod's under the wing.
That would be something if they had the A10 in those days but i think the Sandy's also packed a big punch back in the day.
In what unit did you served your two combat tours if I may ask?
Great to hear that you have great memories of the Phantom.
If I'm correct the Greeks already phased them out last year or are going to the coming year the only one's left are the Japanese air force.
One of the members here Kevin Jackson who every now and then posts here, did a tour a couple of month's back and made some great photo's don't know for sure if posted some of them...

Pat Gould just emailed me to thank me for the Christmas wishes. He included an image of the aircraft he and another pilot were flying the night of 12/13/17, it's pretty much what you would expect, unbelievable! Everyone survived and Pat walked out with scratches and bruises. He's recuperating at home with his family and they are, I'm certain, experiencing a most blessed Christmas together.
Pretty unbelievable, came across the news feed on the internet and looked it up and cross checked with Pat's FB page and then I saw the message that he was home safe and sound with his family pfft that was scary....
But he is taken very good care off by the company and family...
I'm curious if he is willing to share some of his experience, well not of the crash but when he is starting flying again.
Don't know if that is allowed.....
Merry Christmas to the MA2A Family from the Nehmer's
And this year I finished last year's Christmas gifts, the quilt rack below. After routing the end of my finger last year while making them I took some time off to figure out a safer plan of attack so to speak. They really did turn out well (made 3 for gifts to family and friends). Almost kept one for myself!

Always lurking but life has been very busy! So busy in fact that when I down loaded Christmas photo's today I learned the last photo's I had taken were Annie's homecoming ones back in September. All is good, just much to do.

We had a good one, hope yours was as well. I think most everyone here (except Jewish folks ) celebrate Christmas as a one day event. Not sure if making it a multiple day thing would help or hurt Sheila and I are hiding in the quiet today, we woke up at 9 this morning which is unheard of, by about four hours!
