F4U and the B-17... Two of my favorite planes ever. In my top-5... And no, the P-51 Mustang is not. Call me crazy, but I am entitled to my own opinion as wrong as it may be...
Just rolled in from a 15 hour day in Tulsa. Chandler came with me to help out, and he did indeed. We rolled outa little before 6 this morning and just got home. This was a very glamorous shoot, a laundry facility for Tulsa/St. Francis Hospital System. I reminded Chandler that they all can't have afterburners involved..................but they all must have checks attached.............
Bill,
4 posts with usual common warbirds (B-17, P-51, F4U). Yet, in the background of a couple shots is a rare warbird that you didn't feature.
Got any good shots/video of the Grumman Duck?

I edit almost every picture as the sky usually suks most of the time as most here are all getting to know.
The biggest fire in Oregon and I think the country, the CRAM FIRE is pushing 100,000 acres and is about 30miles from where I took these pictures at so the skies did not look good and a good way to ruin the weekend but we are so use to fire ruining every summer here now a days.

Here's your ducky
All just cropped and sharpened.
.
A total of 645 were built and this J2F-6 is one of the last remaining flyable Duck of its type in the world.
Chandler and I stopped for a great Rib dinner on the way home last night. Just as we were sitting down my phone one toff and it was Jeremy Boyd. Seems he has an AirBnB at Oshkosh and wanted to know if Chandler and I could pull away and spend the week with he and one of his sons. We're trying to put it together but rental cars and flight are just about non-existent at this point. We would have to go as "civilians", I don't think I could pull my usual media credentials, opening day is tomorrow. I don't really care about that so much because we would want to be with Boydo anyway. Wish I still had my Skylane, we'd be in the air as we speak.
Like I said, pur Tulsa assignment was basically a laundromat on steroids. Chandler and I fired up and made it fun
anyway. I think the client will be very pleased. This was a bit of a challenge because the facility had been turned over to the end client and was fully operational, so there was a lot of "styling" that needed to be done. I think we did really well, hope the client feels the same...............
Any of our U.K. friends went to RIAT this weekend?? I am looking at the Sanicole Show in Belgium in Sept. The main flying attractions for ME will be the F-4 Phantom, F-86 Sabre, Lancaster, and potentially a Saab Viggen. Flying to Europe for us on the East Coast isn't that different from flying to the West Coast. Will see...
