I just got to thinking about it an decided, incorrectly, that it couldn't be a really great lens, so I cancelled the one that I had on order. Chandler asked me about it 6 months later and he wanted to test one out, so we did. The minute we shot with it and looked at the images I bought one and have loved it ever since. The 777 test flight is a perfect example. I kind of wanted to use my RF600/4 for that sequence, but the 200-800 gave us so much more flexibility. Another lens that I thought was an impulse buy is the RF24-105/2.8. That was a pretty hefty price to pay for 35mm but I haven't had my 24-70 out of the case since I bought the 105 and it has saved my bacon numerous times. The lens is perfection for a lot of video capture too, I can't imagine not having it. Canon has really done a great job filling the holes in why system the last couple of years, holes that I didn't even recognize were there.
Isn't that the truth?! Remember when a 1TB LaCie drive was $1200? I'm reading some stuff on huge hard drives that are going to be available in the next year or so. SSD's are still a bit crazy and not very big.
Just wrapped up post processing on the 2TB of files for my 777 clients. This is just the beginning because they will have me re-edit them in a zillion different ways for multiple uses. Getting these done and out to them was critical because marketing their achievement worldwide is a priority. I just got off of a conference call and one of the questions was, "Can you do a night shot of a 777-300ER on the ramp at Perot Field.......?" Something new to keep me up at night figuring out. I can see it on AFW's runway with the lights all lit. Going to take two or three man lifts, and some whopping portable strobes, but the plan is already coming together in my mind.

Thanks Bill much appreciated looking forward to the end result.
Bill if possible could you ask if that is the former Russels Raiders airframe? because various sources stated that the airframe was damaged beyond repair?
But as we know nothing is impossible these days.
J.A.
This is not a Russell's Raiders Airframe plane Jan-Arie.
I can not disclose the Ser# at owners request for now.

I took your advice years ago Jim on the SanDisk RAID2 Array..a 4TB and 15TB dual array. I now need a new computer...so that will mean a dedicated backup...
Any new advice?
Dan
Early wake up call this morning, James has been after me to capture a sunrise and today seemed like the perfect day. I got up at 5, picked him up at 5:45 and we headed to one of our favorite spots. I've had a number of ridiculously early photo calls lately, but this one was sure worth the effort................
