It's been a bit of a process, but I finally have everything rigged on the C400. The camera can be stripped down for run n gun production and it works very nicely in its simplest form. This configuration its pretty much fully decked out. I'm still waiting for a Kondor Blue Mount battery adapter that attaches to the back of the camera, it's on back order, then it will be all finished.
Thanks Gero, it's a great tool. You can go into the menu and add/delete any of a number of functions, ie, record, focus parameters, codec, frame rate, iso, gain, white balance and a bunch more. The thing that can catch you with the Atomos monitor/recorder is, if you don'e cycle through the camera monitor and clear the display, the Atomos recorder will bake in all the settings from the camera on the ProRes recording, thus rendering it pretty worthless. I'm tempted to put a placard of sorts on the Atomos because it is so easy to forget to check that in the heat of the moment.
I love the colors and details in that shot Jim,
Been wanting to take some shots last night and at work but it was 21 degrees at 5:30 so too cold for me. ...Might try camera tomorrow, telescope takes to long to setup.
They are reaching out to aviation photographers interested in attending the air show to capture photos or videos. The base reached out to ISAP and offered the opportunity for members to attend as media.
ISAP members will receive a media pass and access to their media viewing section, providing them with the best view of the show for photography and videography.
When you go to the Base Airshow webpage they have this menu bar (check out the last item):

I wish people would define "Long-lensed cameras", very subjective.

Yeah, good catch. That's confusing. Perhaps the media credentials make an exception. At least today's long lenses are not as "long" as the ones from the pre-mirrorless days.
Generally any place that restricts lenses begin at 6", which kind of rules any of us out. I'm going to Wings Over West Texas so I'll be needing them to clarify that. Texas Rangers Baseball allows me to bring the RF100-500, but they kind of wink as I go through and make a joke about things that are six inches.

So they want or will allow non-media people access to the "media viewing section", but you can't bring "long lenses cameras"...?
Guess media means people with iPhones and can send a video or images from it back to the media headquarters?

Believe it or not, lifestyle reporters for the paper I contract with are now taking photos with their cell phones. They use to ask me to do some, I now know why those requests dried up. (I really didn't like doing them because you have to get names of all the people in the photo to write captions for the editor.) Anyway, I am wondering when the Sports Editor will get the sports writers to do the same. The iPhone is killing paid photographers.
