And 160th of a second...Hands of Steel !!!
JIm, I used the 1.4 extender III today at the University Mary Hardin Baylor football game (Div III). I stacked it on the 100-400 and I loved it. The first game I mostly camped out in the end zone to capture the action. Very nice addition to my tool set. This wasn't a long shot, it is about 350mm.

Jim, does the Canon 5RII have some caveats in achieving the 30 FPS like the Sony A1? For the A1 the shutter speed needs to be at least 1/250 second. I don't know what the FPS I get when I shoot at 1/125. For the money, the Canon R5II is unbeatable.
Hi Douglas,
Truthfully, I don't know the answer to that, let me research it. What I do know is that I love the "II" more every time I pick it up. I've been so slammed that I haven't had time to pick up my C400, but I'm pretty pumped about a 6K Cinema camera with all the features of the R5 MKII built into it.
Great news! I had breakfast with my Buddy, and a previous tenant in Hangar 16, this morning. He has a Robinson R44 in pre-buy and would like to move back in, so I will have a resident helicopter platform!!
I wish I had gotten down low for this shot because it would have been so much more effective. I expected a pass to the sideline but they ran it up the middle. Oh well...
Great shots guys! I'll have some cool pool images to share over the next few weeks. One of my long time clients just sent me a list of 9 residential sites to shoot before the fall takes it's toll on the landscape.
Well , so did something very uncharacteristic of me, and made somebody’s day at the same time. While I slept last night I went over all the pluses and minuses of owning the C-400 and woke up with a completely new perspective. While I still think that it is a great tool, owing the R5C and two R5 II cameras kind of covers much of the ground that the C400 brought to the table, along with quite a bit more bulk. I sat down with my Canon guy and then my trusted friend at Competitive and explained what I was thinking, both agreed that it would be overkill given what I shoot and the gear that I already possess. They also told me that, if I ever change my mind, they’d have a 400 for me in a few days. I did pick up the new 24-105 Z lens and the zoom module, so I didn’t leave empty handed.
Walking out the door I heard someone hoot with joy that he had walked in as a C400 became available. All in all, a good day.
