BTW, anyone here wanting to acquire an R5 MkII, I can probably get you one quicker than other sources, just let me know. And anyone wanting a "gently used" R5........, My guess is that I'll be parting with mine after a month or so with the II. From what I hear from the guys at CPS, shutter count really doesn't matter much on the mirrorless bodies.
Extremely tempting Jim!!!! I have been on the "edge" of 2 bodies, mirrorless, one a non Canon, since my "cogwheeling" has gotten worse!
I will have to seriously think about this!!! Very gracious and unselfish of you to offer us members!

Thank you all, gentlemen! I don't have any new plane pix to share until maybe Aug. 18 from the show in Latrobe, PA. The lineup is kind of lame, except the F-35A, which I have seen 3 times already this year alone, not even including the A2A in Denmark, or the F-35B I saw at Cherry Point and Binghamton. At some point I have to question my wisdom of driving 4 hours (one way) just to see the F-35A again. In later part of Aug I will see the show in Ocean City, MD (F-22 and the Italian team, not much else). The biggie for me will be the show in Oceana, VA in Sept.
In between I have been having fun shooting the hummingbirds in my yard.

Has to be a real "rush" to have all this power as an extension of your body J-A!!!! And a F4!!!!
Super!

Great shot Jeff! In the past I kicked myself when I clipped wings, since I started shooting with the 600 f4+1.4TC, clipping wings has become routine. I have grown to like clipped images under certain circumstances, they have that intimidating look.

Very nice J-A. I received an email yesterday about some up coming A2A shoots, one of which will include the Hellemic AF F4 in Greece. I wish I had the time and more kidneys to sell to pay for those rides.
Jeff, were you on the Nellis Golf Course for that one?
Ray, I was lucky to gain media access that day, so I was on the runway. Red Flags are great to witness/photograph, but being on the runway was the ultimate awesomeness. Otherwise, I'm outside on Cheyenne or by the LV Speedway.

I like this shot a lot, Jeff. It's like being there myself. I got to do Red Flags one of these days.

Our unit participated in Red Flag in 1994. I was mostly on the flight line, but when we got off early enough a couple of us would play golf at the base golf course until dark. Nothing like a B-52 flying over your head, very impressive sight.
