My god Master Douglas, another great set. Also, how in the heck do you always get great lighting? And, that prop blur! Wow. I know you have said before, you put the 30fps to work to get one good one.
Thank you Jeff! For this was the sun was behind me for the most part, it came in and out the the increasingly thickening clouds as the show went one. I took may 600-800 shots of props, got 3 that are sharp enough to keep. BTY, The Sony A1 doesn't get you 30 FPS at shutter speed below 1/250 (I think). For the prop. I used 15 FPS. Normally I only use 30 PFS for the opposing passes but I forgot this time, I was using 20 FPS for all the jet shots.

And all I got are bombers lately
These are amazing, Bill! What a sight to see!
I look forward to meeting you gentlemen at the show this Saturday. This will be only my second time to shoot military jets at such desirable hours.

Had to photoshop that some to make it more dramatic.
At 5:00pm when I got there is was all blue skies except right where the fire was and it looked like a bomb went off.
Smoke went straight up with blue skies all around and 100+ degrees here. They dumped till 9:00pm that night by houses and the cell phone towers.

Thank you very much Ray! At least it wasn't 95 degrees! I think the high was 85.
More from yesterday. I don't know how to shoot the Blue Angels anymore, same stuff from every show. This is the 5th time I saw them this season. Hope the evening show in Sacramento this weekend will let me try something different.

Listening to tower telling local EVA Airline students do pattern work elsewhere today due to airshow "stuff". Music to my ears. I'll hunt for #8.
Douglas and Bill:
TFR's for THR 1230-1500 PDT and FRI 1300-2130 PDT
Now that's an idea. I do have one bottle in the frig.
