Nicely presented, but, sorry, this looks like a goofy animation composite of several images plus animation cell. What's the story behind "The Tattooed Little Mermaid at Sunburst"?
It has a pretty look, but what is it? I wouldn't comment if it weren't striking. But, it's not a single-lens Nikon still photo. Is it a digital collage/mash-up?

It's actually a single photo with the sky composited. otherwise the rest of the photo is actually the photo, nothing else animated in.
Rose (her name is, looks like a real life Ariel anyways, her hair is legit that red..) wanted to recreate a shot for her mom's birthday which is this upcoming weekend, and here is the original photo
So i told her instead of trying to copy that, why don't we make it our own and make it something that's more you, and she'll appreciate that more. She found a dress as close to the one she had from a kid as she could find, hence the dress in the photo.
We shot at the Naval Park here in Buffalo, and they had this pier at the end of the canal, so i decided to shoot a basic shot of her looking out for her sailor man if you will.
Then all i did was composite the sky in, do a little blending, gave it a Josh Rossi Effect sort of look to it (google his work if you're not familiar with who he is, he runs compositeplanet.com)
So yeah only 1 other image used, but nothing super fancy, but if it looks like what you're saying, then i'd say i did a great job at leaving it up to the imagination of other photogs how it was done, which means i'm improving a little
