Hi thank you! I used to own a Zenit camera/lenses back in the early 90's and I like their tones, but that was on film. If you intend to use it on a dslr, it would be best if you use the AF assist in your camera while you manual focus. Cheers!

Yes, I'm currently using it on my Nikon D7000. There are deffo better choices for that focal length. But I've already have this lens. And I really happy with the results when the focus is spot on. Focusing manually is a very good and interesting experience, by the way.
I'd try to do this. Thanks! I hope it will help coz it is really hard to correctly nail the focus shooting at 2.8.
