Ran out into the Venice, La. swamp when I saw these circling Avocets without realizing how far I would sink in the mud. Got the shot. From old film days.
It took me six years to get around to stitching this together...which is entirely too long. Image is 11 vertical frames on a Nikon D2X with the 12-24mm afs dx lens (@24mm) - final image is 18000 pixels wide.
