D2X from Maui. I sold my D200 three weeks ago in anticipation of the D300. I thought I could get by for six weeks without a camera but boy do I miss not having a camera with me when I travel somewhere.
Oh man, do I like the soft warm light and gentle coloring in this image. This is the kind of shot that may look easy to some people, but it isn’t easy to get it like this. Around 300mm, or were you closer?

thanks Marc
70-200 at ~170mm f5 1/125th out in the beautiful Texas Hill Country trail during a good year for wildflowers with a good friend and FM'er if you remember DaneFla? He is a great guy and battling a tough cancer.........
One of the best tiger shots I've seen in a while. The sense of danger is acute and he appears to be in an entirely natural habitat. If I had a wall. I'd hang this image on it.
Thanks guys and girls. I wish I could say I snapped it with a 50mm lens. The lens was the tammy 70-300, but also shot behind glass, so a bit tricky. So just making the best of a what-you-got situtation.
It was actually a day of shooting tamron lenses at the zoo. Great fun! Will definately be planning to do it again.
