had to look for this one in the archives... definately not my best work but is by far my favorite image. my wife and I sailing on the chesapeake celebrating our 8th anniversary. a snapshot really, i just looked down and as we played 'footisies" I pointed the D1h and kit lens towards the activities and fired one off.
geeze, I thought it was supposed to be favorite one or two... I know even I pushed the limits a bit..... but 13..... all very good images btw, but if you were to narrow them down which would they be?? CERTAINLY some fantistic images in this thread.... very broad scope of images is refreshing. I think I'm gonna go burn a roll.... but not with any of my Nikons.... My favorite camera is my 1956 Rolleiflex 2.8.... she's a beauty!!

I literally have hundreds of thousands of shots, and no idea at all which is my best. I just like seeing Nikons being used to create wonderful images, and could care less how many favs someone posts. However, if you feel I have diverted the intent of the OP...just say the word and I'll make them disappear.

don't do that
we love them
and it's taken by Nikon the most important thing I guess
A perfect example of the unique look of peripheral bokeh when used full frame, thanks for posting this, I like the way the out of focus details roll off in the corners, far less sterile.
That's an awesome shot!!! Gotta try that myself one day and that shot reminded me of that movie "Jurrasic Park 3" where the guy got eaten by birdy dinosaurs while doing the same thing on your photo ...are you sure there were no predatory birds on that island?
this is from my recent trip to Ethiopia (I just got back at 2am this morning, this is the first shot I have edited ) D2H with 18-200 VR, polarizer and graduated ND filter
Thanks VermillionPhoto... yes it is for real... SB800 fill with all ambient streetlights and moon in the clouds... one frame. I did some post to clean up some things a bit, that was it.
