Thanks! Ya think so? I was undecided on it. The 135mm was just terrible the last couple days with the dogs. I don't do much (any) standard portraiture. I think I may need to get rid of it. If I want to do portraits I can use the Rokinon. I don't know what I'd replace it with though. I like longer lenses but my 300mm's AF has been acting up. It did the same thing last winter. The motor will make a whirring/whining noise and lock up. Point the lens directly up at the sky and the AF will kick back in. It sounds like a contact issue to me because pointing the lens upwards always rectifies it for short time. I don't know why it generally goes all summer fine.
Anyway, thanks! The photo took a lot of work to get there. It didn't end up how I wanted though. And I'm not sure I'll be able to work anything out of the few other shots that are in focus.
Another photo of Steel. I'm not too happy with what I got over 2 days. The 300mm is just so much better. The 135 f/2 keeps too much of the background !
On another note, do any of you have experience with AF lens problems? My 300mm f2.8 will sometimes lock up while attempting focus. It will make two distinct whirring noises and then won't focus. The really odd thing is if I point the lens/camera straight up at the sky the lens will be able to focus again. The focus ring is really loose I think. Very easy to turn.
