Hey, all – first post, but I hope not my last. This seems like an amazing community, and I am consistently floored by the quality of pictures and depth of knowledge here. I have not used an SLR since the pre-digital era, so any helpful advice on my humble offerings will be greatly appreciated.
These are my first Nikon shots, so they have to be my best, right?
I went for a walk in the woods with my brand-new DSLR and the kit zoom. I was mostly playing with the settings, no tripod, the dog ate my homework, etc. etc., but somehow a few pictures turned out OK . . .
A few from today's rainy first day of 2012, as it has been for the past 2 weeks , when it should've been sunny. No photoshopping, no cropping. Just loaded straight to NX2.
