here's a picture, with a nikon. it's terrible because it is iso1600. and that is just not possible. i did not know what i was thinking. But carlos moves fast sometimes, so i had too.
Printed very large on Kodak Endura, it really has "wow factor" because of the pearlescent silver tones inherent to the metallic paper. In my little tourist town, that's what people buy. Handheld D200 and the 18-70 kit lens while riding the bluffs on my mountain bike.

Marc,
That's a great shot. The teeny runner that I almost missed really gives a sense of scale.

Thanks David, I appreciate the comment.. Viewing an image intended for a 24” print just doesn’t translate to a monitor very well.
is that morro bay?
Yes indeed. It was shot from the bluff at North Point, looking South
Exactly what I thought too.
Beautiful image!
Thank you!
That’s always a problem for me, because much of what I do is for larger scale printing and occasionally, billboards. You have to think differently when shooting.

I thank you for the kind words. This one is actually part of a series centered around our local landmark - Morro Rock. Some of these images are for a 2008 calendar, one will be used on ½ of a billboard and others will be sold locally as large prints. It’s a work in progress, so I'm no where near done processing many of them:

That series is amazing ... I have never seen such a variety of images on a single subject ... each one is a work of art on it's own. Thanks for sharing these and congratulations on the calendar, billboard, etc. You seriously should have a showing of all these images once you are done.
