What a great idea- and stunning photos to inspire. Some meager entries of mine.
This first was taken at the World Trade Center area shortly after 9--11. I pretended to aim in the distance and fired when the masked lady was nearby (sorry no EXIF or details on either). While hardly perfect, and even poor composition, for me it somehow typifies the scene/mood there at that time.
The 2nd is chosen as it shows doe-fawns interaction. I don't like her facing away, but glad I caught the 3 in this pose. Always a thrill when a whitetail or other wildlife is near..
This is absolutelly not my best, but i hated to see this thread down at the 3rd page. So here's an image shot with a very obsolete old nikon. Come on guys dig up those nice nikon images, they aren't that bad even if they are not taken with a D3(00).
You are right Raymond. Hate to see this thread vanish. Lots of good (great stuff) here.
I know that you and I have found some love for the 70-300 VR. I finally had a chance today to try it out in the field.
Weight is great and quality can't be beat for the price.
This was shot handheld @ 1/30 sec. f-8 @ 270 mm VR on.
Cant wait to try it on FF.
