Welcome! Nice results with the D5000 w/ kit lens! Contrast/vibrance seems a bit high, or maybe the greens are that green over there! Otherwise nice shots!
Hi, JR, thanks to give me some comments, I will try to improve it. Anyway thank you so much
one more... since i'll be traveling the rest of the week and won't be able to post pics...
I asked the wife to take a pic of me and my daughter (A mode) she NEVER uses my camera since it's so "big and complicated" haha... had to fix the exposure in LR3
I am slowing getting my wife used to primes... she currently uses a D90 w/ 35 1.8... but resorts back to her S95 or 18-200 VR time to time... she does take some nice ones though!

Chris, that is pretty awesome. What was the exposure on that shot?
I am guessing it was a whole hell of a lot of shots to get the star trails without overexposing the ground? Looks awesome, would love to try this out some time.

Thank you! It's a 9-shot stacked image where each shot was a 15-minute exposure, f22 and 800 ISO. The moon was providing quite a bit of light to help out with the foreground.
I got a beautiful night out at Racetrack in Death Valley NP. I'd love to back and try my hand at more of these images. The rocks are quite interesting.
