I like the contrast between the old and the new... the framing is quite good and you kept your verticals pretty straight too. I'd say you did just fine... good shooting. and wecome.......
...and it's been a while I haven't posted here. Here's one that I've taken just an hour ago:
Taken with my D1 and my Nikkor 35mm f2 nonAi, K1 ring, Metz 32CT4 and ReyGay Flash Diffuser. There are no PS manipulation, no cropping, just dust cleaning. The subject is my 2004 Maton EA80C. It's made of premium Sitka Spruce, Blackwood, Desert Acacia and Queensland Maple.

No kidding. What was your lighting setup?
lol, to answer both of you...first, thanx...second, the lighting I used was mentioned in the summary, which is the Metz 32CT4 with the ReyGay Flash Diffuser and my home made flash cord . And to be more specific, this shot was handheld at 1/2500th sec at f16 and yes, there were dust bunnies on the left side of the frame, 9 to be exact . I decided to use Nikon Capture 4 to render the image using Colour space II. I didn't choose Lightroom cuz it looked too pure...too real ...the imperfections of Nikon Capture 4 makes it more aesthetic, I think. As usual, I used my Kodak white card to calibrate the white balance of the flash. Is this too detailed?
