Is it true that after a while the dog and owner start to look the same?

Yes it is, and yes they do.

Even Raymond has admitted to it!

One from this evening. This is the first in-camera 'Image Overlay' that I have done with any seriousness and success, I might add.

I took both shots from exactly the same spot and within minutes of each other. They were about 10 degrees on an arc away from each other and the very same light. The exposures are not the same, as I underexposed the moon a bit for saturation and clarity. I'm quite pleased with the results. I had to straighten the frame in CS3 and do a little pp, but it is pretty much the way I saw

I like the shot but it is noisy for such a scaled down image. I had a D2X but didn't get noise like that. Of course I never shot over ISO 640. Which ISO was this taken at?

Something a little different

I liked how the exposure turned out, as well as the conversion. My sister was informing me in a not so discreet way how she feels about having her photo taken

Hi Greg. I checked the EXIF and it was ISO 640. But interestingly enough I checked the original Grainery image (before it was combined in-camera) and before it was pp and it isn't as nasty as my posted and PP image.

The shutter was at 1/3 sec and I didn't have 'Long exposure noise reduction' turned on...that would have probably helped the noise issue more. But again, I think I blew the noise in pp.

I think I'm going to PP it again and see if I can improve it .

Thanks for the observations.

OK... I went through the pp again and it did turn out much better than the original... sometimes I don't know were my mind is... but that's another story

This time I manually assembled the two images, as the D2x does not alter the original RAW frames when it overlays, it creates a new separate image as you probably know. So this was done in CS3 and I think I like it better for a number of reasons.

I keep thinking that the moon just looks too crisp, but that is exactly the way it looked... it was a crystal clear evening with little or no haze...and the reproduction size is the same for both images...

What do you guys think

Tomb, great shot... would look fantastic in print - love the composition. Doesn't "look" like a snow owl...

Actually I do, but I find enough Southern Comfort tends to balance things out!

Seriously... bracing on a rail and throwing away the few definite non-keepers makes those specs look better than they might suggest!

That "hat adjust" photo above got me thinking about this funny shot I grabbed at the 2006 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal...

I call it "Not EVERYONE is a Schumacher fan". Originally I was ticked that the guy jumped up but when I figured out what he was doing, I did my best to get a shot of it. Oh well, I think it's funny...

It is. Not every photo has to be technically correct. Sometimes it just has to tell a story to work.

Very nice Beji... it is refreshing to see this bird in a environment other than water for a change...I think the first one works the best compositionally.

This shot just kills me... the 3D quality of it... and the snow flakes blurred JUST enough, the off center composition ... stunning shot!
