zaitz, very impressive shots with the Rokinon 85mm! For someone who says they're "bad with MF" they look amazing...

BTW, if you're bad w/ MF... then i'm HORRIBLE!

Zaitz, that shot is amazing. That bokeh is really unique in a great way. Didn't I see this Rokinon is only about $250 If it is, I think this lens might got what plants crave and I need one!

Thanks! It is indeed that price, great value.

With static subjects I can get some in focus but if anything is moving my keeper rate is pathetic! In low light I may as well put the camera away.

Wow, thank you . I appreciate that, and likewise for you, Andre.

I was going to get the mail yesterday when I spotted this butterfly along the way, and so I hurried back to my get camera. I managed to get a few good shots .

That is one clean, crisp photo. Great contrast between the butterfly and foliage.

You know, this is a great hobby! Inspiring to see what you all do, and also humbling. The best part, I think, is that it causes me to look and appreciate and notice things I would not have just a short time ago. So, thanks.

I'll be sending you a bill for my dental work. My jaw hit the floor at an unhealthy speed after seeing your first image.

If it's not Oregon, I'll eat my nifty-fifty...

Roman, the first two look like Willamette valley tulips w/Mt. Hood in background and the third is Crooked River/Smith Rocks, and they look like sunrise shots to me...the fourth one is throwing me just a bit... is it the Deschutes River? They are really stunning images.

edit: What lenses were you using with your D300 on these shots? I'd guess 12-24 f/4 (Nikon or Tokina) and 17-55 f/2.8 (or similar.)

Luminosity - Sorry bout that...will try to subdue my shots from now on or at least give a medical warning.

PDX - Um....how did you guess?!?
First two are Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival this spring and the fields were rotated to take advantage of our lovely landmark (Mt. Hood)

The second one definitly is Crooked River/Smith Rocks at the south end of the park.

The last one is Lake Simtustus just west of Madras.

Exif if you go to my gallery is always available in every shot I take. They all are in my recent work folder. If you dont see exif when you open each shot, just look under the title for the exif link.

... Thanks Roman...I'll have to check out Lake Simtustus one of these days. I did actually get the exif after I though about it, but the specific lenses weren't identified, so the only thing left for me to wonder about is what lens combo you use... You get some great results from them.

Thanks Phil!

I corrected that on the site now.

#1 & #4 = Tokina 12-24
#2 & #3 = Nikon 24-70

My most used lenses.
