I've taken tens of thousands of photos, but this one continues to be one of my favorites. Took nothing but lucky timing and a completely weight inappropriate tripod.
Very interesting image. Things haven't changed that much although the houses look very upomarket to what I remember. I grew up in Moresby in the 60's and early 70's.
Pretty excited right now.. I am in talks with a Nigerian official who is interested in using this shot in a truck stop in their country.. That is right, a truck stop. Not one of those lowly rest stops! So in your face Vladik. All I have to do is send them a small fee of $500 so they can unfreeze their bank account, then pay me my princely sum of money.
Steezus, I'm not sure if you're post is tongue in cheek but be very carefully with any Nigerian official where money has to be paid to them as it will be a scam.
Hope you already knew this but Nigeria is one of the worlds biggest scam capitals.
Steezus, why dont you send me 500 dollars while you're on the giving spree. I bet they even asked you to give them your account number, so they can put some money there. )))) This is really funny stuff. The shot is good though, but I'm not sure why would Nigerian official be intersted in paying for it, to put it at the truck stop. If you are really doing this, then you must be the most naive person out there!
