I don't think I can comprehend the awesomeness of this shot.
Was this staged? It doesn't take away from what an interesting shot it is, I'm just curious if it was a freak natural occurrance (that all the elements were placed like that) or if it was careful planning and setup.

Slug69, yes, very very happy with my whole Nikon rig so far. It does everything I expect of top quality kit and everytime I go out on a shoot I end up trusting it even more. Very very pleased with my decision to move to Nikon.
The problem with the D3x is that the pictures in web size look less impressive than any other camera I've seen. Then you zoom.... jaw drops, eyes open wider, mind boggles!
Glad you're enjoying the D3x and 500mm.
And I'm still surprised you're shooting Nikon now.
