[Wow again. Instant vignetting, how cool is that. it looks very nice. so you use your 17-55 at the moment. it doesn' t look to bad.

The 17-55mm is on the D700 about 90% of the time under concerts. I will guess the number will be the same when the 24-70mm arrives. It is a good focallength for concerts.

Besides the D700 + 17-55mm + SB-800, i use:

D300 (backup body)
85mm f/1.8
50mm f/1.4 AIS
80-200mm f/2.8

Get this thread back to where it belongs.

A couple from the back yard. Still trying to define a fly's compound eyes with a D70. I think it is a waste of time! Got some great colours though.

Wow, electric, modern trains with people.

I wish it were like that here too

That's not a high-speed train, is it?

No, its maximum speed is 160km/h. The train units are called "koploper" That name derives from the possibility of coupling two or more units and sliding the front doors to enable passengers to walk from one unit to another.

The unit you can see above was modernised and lost this ability as you can see that there's only one front plate instead of the two sliding doors left.

Well, in Canada, that's the maximum speed the fastest trains.

In the 70's an experimental train went at 240 km/h, and that's it.

TGV and ICE in France already reach 320 in regular use; it's planned to go to 360 with the TGV in a few years.

You indeed have some cool trains in the netherlands.

Taken with D80 and Sigma 70-200 2,8; other EXIF unfortunately lost.
