Today i've been playing around with my sigma 24-70. Lately i've almost shot exclusively with the nikkor 17-55, since that's such a nice lens. But with an imperative FX camera that will be no good. http://raymond.smugmug.com/photos/461351140_6vk5d-X2.jpg
Hey Raymond, your work with the D300 as I have said before is magic.
I would die happy if I could get shots like that. Composition, contrast, colour, sharpness. It is all there.Nikon ought to hire you to promote their gear

Cool. Did you shoot in DX mode or did you use a fl that's usable?
Thanks
I shoot it FX mode, i only use the 17-55mm for concerts and dj'ing. It's a great lens when you are upfront, and i like combine the 17-55mm with slow shutterspeed and rear curtain flash.
The vignetting can be extreme below 24mm but i like it

Wow again. Instant vignetting, how cool is that. it looks very nice. so you use your 17-55 at the moment. it doesn' t look to bad.
My dog was running from another dog (friend came to visit today and she was chasing him all over the place). He nearly didn't clear the firepit in this shot. (but it made me laugh and I was impressed that the focus was almost...since I was laughing so hard...on his eyes).
