Very cool shot of the Golden Gate. Just wondering what that quantum singularity is all the way to the left, just above center? Must be Kirk, Spock and the gang jumping back in to save the whales.
Thank you. The flight was a lot of fun. I took 160 shots in about 20 minutes of flying time. We actually went under the bridge, 50 feet above the water at 140 mph. My wife told me it was a good thing I went alone...she would never have gotten into an aircraft about the size of our Subaru!
That smudge on the far left might be the Enterprise crew disappearing but much more likely it is a defect in the windshield of the chopper. I tried cloning it out in PS but I couldn't get it to blend well.
Part of a hands of the city feature that I'm doing, in such that I only wanted the emphasis on their hands in this capture. I have others with their faces for another series I'm working on This is the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, located on the grounds of the Capitol building.
great stuff Turtle - the texture just pops out in that shot. Very well done. I'm always amazed how I must walk by, blind, past so many everyday scenes that others see a great photograph in. Your picture really drives it home. An everyday part of a place - and you have made it art.
Sarah; No fair. I've walked by that statue all the time and never thought of that angle! And no fair - it right there, walking distance from a great pub (you know the one!) ... and you never called! Not fair!

I know... I'm terrible Hey... the weather was horrible that day (saturday), we'll have to visit the pub when there's not so much overhang!
I never even knew that statue was there... much less the other ones! I've lived here my whole life... and I can't remember the last time I was at that place.
