shot with a D80... i like to play around with old images like that. This effect is nice for the upcoming holidays. That way i don't need a 85mm 1.4 hm?

How was getting access to Iran?
Hi Khan
No Problems at all from the Iranian side.
On the other hand, as we were primarily going there to collect evidence for an immigration action my wife was running against the Aust government, paranoia dictated we should apply for our visas offshore.
That was really hard to take as it resulted in spending a little over a week in Paris.
As for Iran, we would both love to go back as genuine tourists and not be as pressured time wise as we were.
favourite city? Yazd. The people were just so nice and genuine. Memories? everywhere. The whole country is a museum of civilisation.
Cheers

View from my hotel in Lima, Peru last week. Unfortunately I didn't get to shoot any, I shot this from the balcony the first night and never got my cam out of the bag again I was slammed with work the whole time i was there this time
Nikt: that HDD shot is awesome. Care to tell us how you managed it?
Here's a guess. Disk powered up, fired a couple of flashes in a dark room and set an 'incorrect' white balance?
Thanks Aaron, I was trying to find something really unusual to photograph. Was hoping to be able to capture the head a few more times in 'repeater' mode, but it's very tricky. I played around with the white balance till I found what I liked.
It's not a bad experiment for those who might be interested. This was actually shot with more lights on, and using the flash for the 'freezing'. The SB-800 was set to RPT, 1/8th power, and set to fire 4 x 6Hz.
