This page was awesome... very inspirational work all. The two standouts for ME are Guy's stairwell shot from HK and Justin's last 10-stop ND shot. PHENOMINAL.

Everybody pat yourselves on the back. Kudos to you all.

lol Kapow . Regarding these SB900s, what makes it so special against the SB28? I've been using SB28s for quite a while now and it does well, so does the SB900 light up the shadowed areas as well ?

Does the light bend around the corners? Other than that, I think for me, the recycling period of the SB28 is sufficient enough back then for my F4e at 6fps or are there any other features that's more important than just lighting up the subject (other than multiple flash setups, which the SB28 is capable of and is purely dependent on the camera used)?

BTW, I like the swamp shot, it looks like the 3D apps from Nvidia ~ the mermaid thingy...yes your shot is an eye candy and that's what I always look for, eye candy, mmmm, too bad I can't eat it, seriously.

Yah, imagine if the bike fell off , what a massive scratch on her beautiful skin organs!

And I like the shots form Guy and Justins...a lot of my shots are not allowed for release yet . Oh well, I'll take some shots of some things if I have time.

there's nothing special about a SB900. Fact is i wanted another flash. it might as well been a SB600. But since the 900 was out i gave that a try. It feels solid, but my results so far have been the same. I bought a lightsphere for my sb600 and sb800 at the same time. and to tell you the truth: i liked that more than the sb900
The SB900 is a great flash, it does its work, but so does my 600 or 800. one advantage for the 900: it recycles just as fast as my 800 does with 5 batteries, YAAAAY!!!!. It's nice... but nothing we couldn't do with a sb800 (afaik).

This is an old shot. I'm checking out lightroom 2 you know it's a great tool and with the new camera profiles (which are still in beta), it really comes pretty close to capture nx (colorwise that is). Imagine that: NX colors and rendering on the fly with the great user interface of lightroom. Give it a try...

Well here's a re processed shot i made earlier this year:

D80 125mm F2.8 Lightrooms camera profile: D2x mode III (it excists!!! )

Raymond this looks very nice, I would like to hear more of your thoughts on LR2,
I downloaded a copy of LR2 and NX2 and opened the same RAW file on both programs, I put them side by side and the NX2 appeared sharper, have you or anyone else tried this?

Correct. NX looks crisper. But you can get the same results in lightroom. What i do is bumping the clarity (+10) and also bump the blacks a tad. After that you can look at the sharpening. You might want to increase that too. Most important point for me is that the colors are correct now. They look pretty similar to capture nx's colors now. And that's what i'm looking for

Does it matter? i shoot raw, i convert to prophoto rgb in either NX or lightroom. That said: my camera is set to srgb. Why? because my previews on the lcd look beter saturated that way and most important: when i shoot raw+jpg i'd rather have the jpg in srgb right away
