Maaaaaaaaaaaaan, SteveDigi, that moody woman picture freaks me out. The eyes look like a cartoon characters! *shivers*
@Kitehog: nice bird shots... awesome how that bird can just stand on a vertical tree like that
@Francois: woah, that escalator shot blew my mind! Very cool angle and very unique structure. Heh I laughed at the wheel barrel picture, too... it reminds me of the evolution of dogs (where dogs now sleep on our pillows and we sleep at the foot of the bed). Now man has to wheel barrel the dogs!
I guess I'll stop lurking again for a few minutes. I have to say this thread is a daily stop for me. The shots here are amazing and challenge me to go shoot more pictures. I believe I'm seeing with a better eye now since all of you have shared what your eyes see. Thanks for the inspiration.
Here are two shots from this weekend. Here in New Hampshire, we've been water logged for most of the summer, but our gladiolas have finally started to bloom.
Both were taken with my D40X with the 55-200 VR lens. Minimal PP in NX2 was done to each shot.
We have some strange days here in Auckland...luckily I had brought my gear (that includes my 6x9 stuff). This event had strong opponents but it still went on ~ I myself have no qualms on it and they call it "BOOBS ON BIKES", well, I'm a 'man' and this is my stuff (sorry feminists). I had a bunchfull of "breastfull" of images today , no offence ladies but I can just blame the pornographer who ran the show. All in all, it was something new in the city...
I'll give shots one at a time ...all were shot with a D1x and a Nikkor 300mm f4.5 Ai. No pp, no cropping:
