So I got so upset by my dealer's failure to get enough in or even consider the people who don't happen to work for newspapers that are ready to throw money at them
I've placed a cancelable pre-order at another store that may get me one faster than my usual one. We'll see... the pre-order is just that until it gets in stock for my number, then it gets charged when it goes to me. At My dealer it's just a call list...
Ok, so there are three of us here who have ordered in Germany from elsewhere and no one ordering from within :-)
Went to a local store here in Stockholm. The salesman said they just got 2 mkIII's 30 minutes earlier. He said they ordered 20 and have 16 on the queue. He was not sure if one of the first 2 will become a demo.

They have arrived to Germany already, I know by forums at least of 4 cameras were delivered to their customers in Germany. In this moment the problems are:
1- not enough quantities delivered by Canon and
2 - mainly these first units are sent to professionals.

Well it's nice to know that Canon Canada has started delivery. Anyone pick up a 1DIII from The Camera Store or Vistek yet
I'm on Vistek Calgary's wait list, but they are going to get their allotment from their Toronto Store and have no idea when Canon is making delivery to Toronto.
Hunt's informs me that their Canons are being delivered by currier from Canon and will arrive Monday or Tuesday. Hope that is correct. Quantity, unkown.

Rocky Mountains. But ordered "mail ordered" from Calumet. Shipped from Chicago warehouse. They have about half a dozen stores in California.
Just called calumet and they just told me now that they don't have me on the list to be shipped after they told me that I was getting one..If I never called them they probably would have not told me..Now they said I will make the second list for sure..Disappointed!! I was looking forward to it and I even called twice to confirm and went to the store to confirm that is was coming next week before I canceled my other preorders which I did already did..I even went to the store to meet the lady I spoke with but she was busy but they did tell me it was coming in..I guess next time I need to make sure I get some sort of confirmation..O well..
