My dealer got invoiced for 8 units. He ordered 300. The regional canon guy told him that there were only 250 for the East Coast this shipment. I made the cut, so mine is going out tomorrow. Is next day delivery worth it?

You ordered yours on March 1? I ordered mine from Canoga on Feb. 22 and I've not received a call. They won't tell me where on the list I am except that I'm "high" on it (I really don't like the secrecy). They sounded like they wouldn't get very many in the first shipment. I don't think I'll ever get it.
I was always a HUGE fan of the 1DM2. The 1D is everything you liked in the 1D2 AND MORE. This for me is Camera heaven.
OK it's not a 1dS2 but given the extra MP's it can actually do a passable job with landscape shots as well even though that's not what this camera is really designed for.
Weight around 1D2 but what a machine.

Me too Calument said I will get mine next week..Will see. .My other local dealer which has more sales then calument said that canon told them that there order is pushed back to June 25th for everyone in USA supposedly and calument is lying to me so I can pay them in full...Don't know who to believe but I'll see next week who is telling the truth..

Well all I know is I got my UPS tracking number a minute ago, on time for delivery tommorow. And Calumet shows a charge of $4499 in my account.

The charger will charge two LP-E4 packs simultaneously. It took two hours to fully charge the battery from the as-shipped condition. It will not work on any other packs, nor the other way around. Entirely different connections and charge rates.
