And...he said that the next shipment to Hong Kong should be in in about 2 weeks. He isn't sure how many he will get.
I also called my dealer in Thailand who said that Canon Thailand didn't have one yet. If they want, they have to get it from here. There is also lots of demands from mainland China....
Well, another "release date" has come and gone and there seem to be no MKIIIs in the US and very few elsewhere.
Canon should come clean and put out a press release with an explanation and some kind of firm release information. Shoud we all start calling 1-800-OK CANON and ask them to pay their customers the respect they deserve?
The last I checked, it is not the end of May yet. According to Chuck Westfall's last posting, before the end of May. So, I believe we have 10 more days before we start lining up for a class action suit.

If not, then this is one reason why things cost more than they should or take longer to reach consumers or are just not made even if possible- the threat of frivolous lawsuits.
It seems to me very estrange that still there are not confirmed shipments in USA when actually we have them in EU too (previous HK & Australia). People from UK & Denmark has confirmed the arrival this week to the dealers of the 1D3, already at local Canon branches. Second batches are in the go for the first days of June, mainly in two weeks.

After the way we have treated the rest of the world I don't blame them for not sending us any cameras.
Looks like Canon really f***** this one up. Just cheked with som of the biggest companies here in Denmark with preorders in the hundres and they get 1 ONLY 1 freaking camera.
I am seriously consindering just passing over this one. Canon can't deliver they can't give info on next chipment, how many and when.
I personally think this one BIG error from their side, at least they could admit they F***** UP and give a realistic date.
