I want a 1DSS with 48MP, FF, and that shoots at 10FPS, with a high speed crop of 30MP and 15PFS. that way I will be able to make high quality movies with my 15FPS. I would also like a 15-400mm F2:8 that does not weight a ton. this combo must cost less than $2K.
I simply just want something that is available shortly after announcements. My local store finally got in the 50 1.2L this weekend, needlessly to say they have one less since I reserved mine awhile back. But it would be nice to have a shorter waiting period before the camera or lenses that maybe announced are available to purchase.
Hopefully they'll be releasing the 980EX flash successor to the 580EX with a guide number of 98m at 50mm which only uses solar power and shoots gamma rays instead of infrared beams for faster AF focusing with features such as 980W modeling light 98 colour gels 98 steps manual power sunrise sunset info 9MB memory expandable to 10MB and FM radio so the portrait model won't get bored of you

You understand whats happening. People type "40D" in the search engines such as Google and their website comes up. Even though there's nothing there. And you guys fall for it everytime.
Well, one of those sites was Canon HK. I think it's plausible that Canon HK could have insider knowledge about upcoming products, and start preparing for it.
Then again, maybe they're just trying to throw us off the trail -- kinda like God planting those dinosaur bones all over the place...
Latest news I heard is there are no NDAs for any new EOS-related items scheduled for PMA 2007. Canon will announce all EOS-related products directly from its websites globally and then distribute the press kits to 3rd-party digital imaging websites and magazine editors after that, on the same day us cyberspace visitors reading the news from any of the dozens of Canon's global sites. This is to cut down on the amount of early leakages as happened previously with all EOS-related products even though most of them seem to be "confirmed" by those numerous (and premature) announcements from certain Canon sites before the official launches.

This is getting a little boring, nothing of substance for a while, sort of the calm before the storm… I thought – what if the “likely” 40D specs I posted a couple of pages back are real (and I suspect that they are in the 80%-90% accuracy range)… Let me have a go at predicting the forum reactions on FM and DPreview… So below I have posted (in no particular order) what I confidently expect the range of reactions to include (though this is far from a complete list). I’m sort of saving people time from moaning later…
Canon playing catch-up in the 10mp race. Just puts them level again with in the 10mp sector with the Nikon D80 and Pentax K10D etc.
An incremental upgrade. Canon has lost its DSLR way since the D60 and D10
Further refinements to what was already a great camera in the 30D. Many of the previous shortcomings have been addressed (though there is more to do) Highly Recommended (DP Review and Phil)
Finally a camera worth upgrading my 10D from
Not worth upgrading my 20D (or 30D from). I’m disappointed
I wish it were 1.3 crop countered by I’m glad it’s still 1.6 for my EF-S lenses and the extra telephoto reach
Why more mega-pixels 8mp was enough! What I wanted is better noise and DR
My 30D is up for sale – I’m buying one
I think I’ll wait for the 50D
Fantastic, everything I wished for
I’m selling my Canon and going Nikon / Pentax etc.
This has given me the reason to switch from Nikon / Pentax etc.
Then (depending on the final feature mix) we will have the chorus of: It needs better weather sealing Why no built in WiFi? Why no wireless flash? Why no GPS? It needs better metering
We can rest assured though that the 40D (or whatever it is called) will sell well…
It’s also a sure bet that next year, come January, this whole rumour thread will start again..
The problem with this kind of thread is that those (myself included) who post here don't really know what Canon has to offer, and those who know can't post.
But since it's a rumor thread. I say I can smell the new scent of the 1DS MKIII already. My crystal ball tells me that it will come with integrated wireless networking (WiFi) for image transfer and remote control, integrated 20GB storage, DIGIC III processor, a larger high-resolution LCD display made of OLED, a real ISO 3200, and optional fuel cell. My eyes were starting to see double, the crystal ball went off before I could confirm on the number of megapixels. I think I saw a two in front, but couldn't make out of the last digit.
Sorry I had too much wine during dinner, and it's still in my system
Oh, by the way, I saw a guy at the zoo the other day with a camera all taped up with black gaffer tape attached to a Canon white lens. He kept on writing something down on his PDA after each shot. Could that be the pre-production 1DS MKIII
I did read a year or 2 ago about how canon had developed fuel cell batteries for there cameras, they just hadn't come up with a good refueling system to recharge them.

Don't get your hopes up, some people like to hide their product labels...anyways he was probably noting the animals...then again, it could a 1D(s) MkIII or even MkV depending on how ahead of itself Canon is.
I was actually referring to those posts from the retail sites. I'm in retail and we don't know squat. But I can also add a page on our web site that says 40D, and have nothing on it, in 28.76 secs flat. Wait, what am I saying.... I would NEVER do anything like that.
The other one was Canon HK. Don't know , maybe it was the usual "leak". Maybe they were just playing God.
