I love the Best of 2006 tread in the nature and wildlife and landscape forums. I don't know why but I am missing the Macro version. So that's why I started it
To start, this year was my first year with macroglas. I took several shots over the year but I think the one below is my favorite
Not fully a favorite, but somewhat satisfying anyway. The ladybugs would NOT stay still at all. I composed for the traditional "focus on the EYES" rule, then she moved to the other side of the flowers, and I ended up with this: http://web52.smugmug.com/photos/100543241-L.jpg
Substitute -O for the -L for a larger version.
D200, 50mm with several stacked "dumb" rings, I think f/8, and I think I used flash.
Can't wait for bug season with my new Sigma 150macro!
I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while (Actually since I got my very first SLR a little over a year ago), but this is my very first post here on FM. The thread looked tempting so I decided to have a go. I not even close to your league, but practice makes perfect someone once said.
It's always hard to pick a favorite photo, but I guess this would be the one.
