Ok, so here is the one I would choose. Arrival on the top of Grand Paradis, with a view on the Mont Blanc dozens of miles away, after more than 4 hours of up hiking, with a great view (the best weather in this week; august was not particularly good in Europe).

Well now that it is officially December, I guess I can start to think about my best shot, November was just way to early for me.
Course I do have a trip to Pismo Beach planned next week, I may get a shot on that trip that would become my Best shot....
Since I am thinking out loud, this is a very cool thread, with some incredible photo's... though I can't help but think the best of a year should possibly wait till the last week of that year, or maybe right at the beginning of the next year, cause I don't know about anyone else, but I will be shooting till Dec 31st at 11:59pm... _poke_ maybe I am being too logical
I agree, we don't want this one to get buried, I was ready to go make a reply myself to bring it back up when you did. I also have asked to get this post made sticky like our Mug Shot post so that it can stay on the front page here for the rest of the year.
