Thanks, I'll pass your sentiments on to Gracie. It would be my fondest wish to help her develop her eye. We were going out to fly the T-6 after our Cub flight and Gracie noticed the clouds changing colors with light shafts streaming through. She loves to fly in the Six but I could tell she was torn between that and capturing the beauty that was unfolding above us. Being familar with that quandry myself, I told her the airplane will be there, the sky could change in five minutes she better get it while the gettin' is good. I let her compose and shoot her shots and little by little it all vanished, a great photographic lesson learned, f8 and be there!

The genes are there Jim! All she needs is her "grand-dad" to hone her skills like the fine tuned engine on one of the many wonderful vintage aircrafts that he displays!

Here's a sneak preview of Raytheon's new 60th Anniversary Edition G-36. I have come to realize that this is like sending a wino to shoot Jack Daniels ads! I find myself trying to figure out how to fit one of everything I shoot in the hangar!!

Jim - are you going to be in the area on March 24th? I just heard that the area is hosting the Gulf Coast salute to veterans at Tyndall AFB here in Panama City. Don't know all the details yet but I heard that the Blue Angles will be here along with other new and old planes.
If anyone decides to show up for this event, let me know and we'll plan group outing!
Thanks for the head's up. I'll check in with my AF connections and see what's what. Sounds like a fun event. I'm in Pensacola the 14th thru the 18th for a symposium held by ISAP (International Society of Aviation Photographers). Suppose I could hang around on the beach until the 24th (ho, ho!) Keep me posted.
A new hangar , really and additional one, is in the works. What I really need is an oil trust fund! To paraphrase, I think I've been blessed with Gulfstream taste on an Ercoupe budget!!
I'll tell you the truth though, 3/4 of a mil for a piston single engine, no matter how cool it is, is a bit of a stretch. Let's see, thats 1/3 of the way to a Mustang, more than a nice Sea Fury, three nice T6's, minimum payment on my Visa. See, there are so many ways to spend that $750K.

Thanks! You have yourself classified as a serious amatuer, I believe your humility is holding you back. Just went to your Nikonian gallery and was amazed at both your technical expertise and your compositional ability. You have the eye!! Keep up the outstanding work.
Sincerely,
Jim

Brian Terwilliger has a great eye and the ability to put the emotion and beauty of flight on the screen. AirVenture 2006 had a great hi-def screening and they've had limited showings all over the country. I hope he has sequel soon.
One Six Right is being shown on DiscoveryHD this month. It looks pretty damn nice on my 55" HD Mitsubishi. Plus, race pilot Matt Jackson has a few scenes.
I am delighted to see this fantastic thread is still going and I so enjoyed the aircraft images that I hadn't seen so far. Outstanding images! You are an inspiration and I can only hope to be half as good as you one day.
Here is a small contribution of mine.
