I had a couple of Transcend 8GB get corrupt last year, but they just wouldn't record so I didn't lose anything. I run around 500,000 images annually through my cards with nary a problem. I shot 12,000 images on the Transcend 16GB the first week I had them, no problem. I'm sure now that I said tis all I'll lose a passel of files tomorrow, but so far I haven't had any trouble.
Just wanted to say I think this is my new favorite thread on these forums I've been in love with flying and planes since I was little..... awesome work here
That 3rd tbird shot with the afterburner rocks! I've got shots of the TB in mirror and other formations- but you captured the right instant in time there.
Wonderful composition with the cloud below.
I'm willing to bet we have covered about 70 or 80% of the superlatives in the english language with the wonderful images posted in this thread.
Its been awhile since I've posted anything here- I was at the "Great Georgia Airshow" with jbear2000 struggling with the backlit conditions. I think one of my better shots (and for the sake of variety) was of the Pave Hawk SAR Helo landing.
"We're pretty confident this countermeasure will resolve the issue completely," said Chuck Westfall, a Canon spokesman and tech guru. "It feels nice to have a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel and know it's not another oncoming train."
Marc, i keep meaning to tell you thats a great shot of the helo... especially since all the dirt that the rotors kicked up are in the scene and not on my sensor! Great stop action with rotor blur!
i missed that whole part of the show while i went looking for my wife who went for water and didn't come back. We ended up in the shade of the c 130? wing - sipping cold water and thinking about what we were going to do next.
Last frame of the day... while we waited on the bus.
Thanks. I grew up in Marietta and lived there for about 26 years. We just moved up to Lexington, KY earlier this year. I miss seeing all the planes taking off from Dobbins.
In Miami you might try the Wings Over Miami museum at Tamiami (TMB) airport, it is in southwest Miami. There are a couple T-6's based in the museum.
Also a great T-6 experience is Warbird Adventures http://www.warbirdadventures.com/ they are also at the Kissimmee airport just down the ramp from Stallion 51.

Thanks Jack! I didn’t know about either of those and will check them out.
For anyone who was at GML - one of the pilots contacted me about whether there were any shots of his plane available for purchase. He is the owner of American Beauty/Abigail Rose and would be interested in purchasing additional photos if you have them. Please email me at [email protected] for more info.
He is particularly interested in air2air shots while he flew in formation behind the Prowler.
I looked through my shots and don’t have anything of that plane. But had he asked ahead of time, it probably would have been easy to get some photos (from the ground, at least). Oh well.
