So I went out and spent a bunch of money on 4 AB's and other accessories and you guys and gals are producing some mighty fine photo's with just one light.
I guess PB isn't shedding any tears that I bought 4 AB's and no, I am not selling the extra lights. But I am going to be spending a little more time using just one light for awhile, thanks to this thread.
Took these of my 4 month old nephew over the Christmas weekend. 3 foot Photoflex octobox on an AB800 45 degrees camera left. Photoflex circular reflector for fill camera right.
Post processed:
1) Some healing tool to remove a crease in the burlap.
2) "Midnight Sepia" action

What do you guys think?
Wow! That looks great. Can I ask how many feet away was the octobox away from your nephew?
Well I've been wanting a set of lights for some time now and after looking at the posted images and chat here I'm ready to spend some cash. Hoping to set up a very small studio in a single garage - only 9' wide and 16' long but I'm sure I can make do for one ofr two person shoots.
I actually quite enjoyed many of the outdoor shots and wondered who uses anything other than ABs for this. I'm in the UK so ABs are bnot really an option but I have looked at the Bowens kit (although pretty expensive for the travel pack).
I do quite like the D-Lite 4s but wonder if anyone knows if there is any way to attach these to a portable power supply?
Joe
Many thanks for the link. Certainly looks pretty interesting and for what I plan to do I think this would be fine. Gives me a little more confidence in buying my strobes without worrying anbout also spending a fortune on an external power source.
Unfortunately the innovatronix does not support the pl1250dr lights from Photogenic. I am contemplating a honda EU2000 generator for 2007 if I get enough work to justify it.
