p.2 #1 · One Light Set ups

You used only one light and umbrella for this shot? Very nice shot.
I am looking to buy the 2 Kit set for this Interfit Stelar 150 or 300.
Where did you buy your Interfit Stelar 150, and how much?

Yep, only one light and umbrella...I had a white reflector to camera right, but it was too far from the model to have any effect.
I bought the Stellar from Adorama.
I'm glad that you like the shot.

Thanks. Alex. I work very close to Adorama, I may go take a look at it.
What size and brand of reflector are you using.

I use this:

They sell on eBay too, you will find it a lot cheaper there.

Alejandro what beauty dish (brand) did you use for your shot with the Elinchrom's. It is an outstanding shot.

Here's a pretty basic setup: 1 Alien Bee with softbox to camera right, white foam core reflector on the left to bounce and fill.

I love the simplistic look of 1 light setups.

Sure,

I love single light portraits. Sorry I have no direct links for these.

Indeed, these are great inspirations! Being quite unfinancially stable at the moment, I'm thinking about getting just one strobe in the next few months to experiment with. Hopefully I can produce similar results =)

What background did you use for this photo and where can I obtain it and how much does cost. Is this a muslins or seamless paper or something else?
Beautiful picture...love the background. Thank you.

Thanks Mufutau. The background is grey seamless. Model is about 6 feet in front of it. The dish is about 3 feet above her head and to the left.

Here is another shot with a similar setup, but I pulled the dish farther back to make the shadows a bit harder.
