This is such a great thread! Here's my little contribution. It's not nearly as good as other peoples' shots here, but I felt obliged to post something after reading through every page.
It's just a bounced flash, though there is a bare bulb behind him, acting as a hair light. Not sure if that counts.
This is by far the greatest thread I have ever read on any forum...anywhere!!! Thank you all so much for your wonderful examples and explanations. I made it through all 35 pages and learned so much. I spent the better part of this morning looking over lighting kits…scratching my bald head wondering what would work for me. This thread saved me tons of $$$ and showed me what can be accomplished with a little creativity and a single light. You all have inspired me so much I just can’t thank you all enough. I look forward to seeing this thread grow and grow.
