I am not so sure if my Digilux 2 qualifies for the alternative image thread but since i sold it yesterday, i thought it was time for some memorial image posting. This is the first time that i post an image of mine - so please be gentle. Those are just candids, i took the Digilux whereever i went mostly at night. The first one is at an invitation of the girl sitting next to me. She didn't notice me taking her picture (until she was blinded by the flash...). The second one was taken at 3 'o clock in the morning while there was Alice Cooper's Poison blasting through the club. The flying liquid was Vodka & Red Bull if i remember correctly. Hope you don't mind me posting some candids.
Woody, same to me I sold my old Hasselblad last year, it was all used. When I saw that beautiful Camera in perfect condition I could not stand back. So thats why I will not sell the Toyo, I wouldn't be without it a long time...
The planar is on the b/s forum, I still hope it won't be sold, so I can buy it myself for a budget price.
Guy, thanks a lot. I made 80% of the square pics with my 60mm, but I believe you are right, it was the 120mm. How did you know?
Andi, thanks, i was a bit nervous posting in between all you great shooters. I really like the second photograph of yours on page 21 - fragile but still somewhat protected.
Robert, i think the colours and the state of decay of the flowers match perfectly. I like it a lot.
Wonderful stuff everyone, keep them coming. It's great to see the experimental nature of the "human" eye as we try to relate our experiental vision.
I pulled the DMR off of the DMR the other day in an attempt to try a bit of this film thing that everyone raves about. It's definitely something I will be doing more often. This was shot with some off the shelf Fuji 400 film that had been lying in the back of a closet for 3-4 years. It was scanned onto a CD at the local drugstore.
Your tulips are great. They got the 'edge' thing that makes it look different from the 'silky smooth' digital captures. Film looks great for much of what we do. The problem was having to light everything when you got into an indoor situation shooting with medium format on E-6 for clients.
Here's a shot with the cz85 1.4 at 1.4 with a lot of post-processing.
Nice shots. I have a softar II filter for blad (60 series). I always used it with a telephoto (150mm sonnar) stopped down max two stops otherwise you could see the circles os softness created by the micro-lenses on the filter. I'll try it with the cz28 on the 1dsmk2 and see what happens at different f-stops.
