My ex-hubby must be right. I have indeed lost my sense of humor. I read your post twice and couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a joke or not.
If it's a joke, it didn't make me laugh. Maybe I need a funnybone transplant.
If it's for real, the you really do need a break. I usually take a week or two off from Photo.net because all the whiners, complainers and big-egos start to take it's toll on my patience after awhile.
Either way, something triggered your post and probably needs to be addressed. Have you thought of talking to a professional, taking drugs, or taking yourself on a vacation? Which brings me to a rant that you missed...what about all the people who give "sage" advice but don't really know what they're talking about?
And here's a quick message for when you return:. Welcome Back!...Show more →
Melissa, please consider the post a parody of sorts. I am sure your sense of humor is just fine given adequate material. I will continue to polish my skills and one day possibly make you smile! I see was able to pull a "rant" out of you too... I agree, there are a huge number of internet experts out here, aren't there?
Take care, and thanks for the "Welcome Back" It's good to be back...

I hate to burst your bubble, but I think you violated one of your own rants.
6) People who have absolutely no counting skills. They are all over the place and they disgust me. You missing any fingers? No, then what the hell is your problem? Buy an abacus or quit posting stupid enumerated lists.
Then later you said you just wanted to list 10 things.
You started at 0. Which means that's 11 =)
I hate to need to point this out, but it was supposed to be part of the joke. Notice also how the item numbers go out of order too? No wonder you don't post your name.

Welcome back!
Thanks Dave, it is GOOD TO BE BACK. Hey, you need to fix that "cant report your own post" bug. What's up with that? I was going to post that someone stole my laptop and was making posts without my permission, but it seems that too few people understood the original post, and if I made the story more complicated only the people from the UK would understand my humor.... Of course Dave, even if you are the only one who understands, it would still be a laugh, right?
Hope your day is running smoothly. I have another 3 hours here then off to the burbs.
Hi, Paul, thanks for the clarification. At first, I did not know what to make of your original post, since it certainly did not match the Melor I know since I joined FM. I always read your posts with respect and admired your work greatly and appreciated the comments one time when I posted pictures for critique. Like someone else said, I didn't know what 'set you off' for this one. Now I know... I am relieved that you are not leaving after all. Examine your 'rant' list against myself, I am glad that I am only guilty of '#0' (it's funny that you put #0 there). So from now on, I will always include that in my posts.
Did not mean to confuse you. "Du auch" means "you also". It is German. I confused you with one of the other females that contribute to photo forums. I did not mean this as any sort of insult, but rather as a compliment for one of the few females that will participate in this sort of nonsense. Besides, I lied, my dog did not really run away, he knows how to use the search engine much better than I.

Heck thanks Linden. A great learning tool for me has been to have my photos critiqued and to critique the work of other photographers. The best thing about it is that given a certain amount of subjectivity, you can never be completely wrong! I am happy to have been helpful, but also know that you helped me too.
It is a pleasure to know you, an honor we can share by simply posting our names.

where do i put the size of my penis again??
Looking at your sig, Andrew I would:
If you are single, but it under the "Own" line of lenses.
If you are married, put it under the "Own'd" line of lenses.
If you are divorced, you will need a third line "MIA".
Though entertaining, there is also quite a bit of truth in the original post. I, for one, find this thread helpful to keep this forum a better place for all of us.
I just got my garaunteed, cross your fingers hope to die, ultra sharp copy of the 24-70L.
I took a picture of a rebel flag in New Jersey, when I look at it at 378% all I see are these funny little square things.
Did I get a bad copy ?
Should I send it to Canon for calibration ?
somone told me to use raw, I thought raw was steak tartar, don't these guys know anything ?
