p.1 #1 · I am never coming back here again

I am never coming back here again for at least a week. You mark my words. I am so tired of people and their pedantic bull. You are all a bunch of losers and I am so over you.

10) I can't stand the complaints about "use the search engine." If someone posts a question that can be found so easily in a search engine, instead of complaining do the damn search if it's so easy and post the links, instead of a complaint.
9) Is my lens a good copy. Yes, it is. You are just a crappy photographer. Buy a book and get the hell off of the website.
8) Should I buy this lens? Don't ask me. Do you want it? Can you afford it? Do you need to hide it from your wife? If you are going to ask the question, post all the important details like a copy of your last 5 years tax returns, a photo of your wife, and details of your prenup. If not, don't waste my damn time.
7) Have some respect for your words. U think u are kewl. I think English is your second language ( you think ) or you failed third grade, or you are still in third grade. Buy a dictionary you idiot.
6 ) Dramatic exits. If you want to leave, just go. If you have something to say on your way out, just say it, don't allude to problems, spill your guts if you have them. If you are leaving, what the hell do you care if you step on some toes on the way out? Provide a detailed list of your bitches, include at least 10 examples.
5) People who post requests for critique and the photos are absolute crap. What do you honestly expect people to say. Do you think you have no replies because the photo is so great that there isn't anything a person could possibly say? Please buy a film camera so you won’t post your photos on the internet.
6) People who have absolutely no counting skills. They are all over the place and they disgust me. You missing any fingers? No, then what the hell is your problem? Buy an abacus or quit posting stupid enumerated lists.
4) Sigs that have a list of over 5 items in them. You got that little in your life that you need to show off your kit? Why don't you put your dick length in there too? Add a few inches while you are at it. Why don't you simply put in “B+H catalog, pages 7-49 and 52-140” instead of listing your gear separately. It would be easier for you, and then I could order all the same stuff because you are such a great photographer. That would save us a lot of reading and bandwidth. Some of us are only using a 1200 baud modem. Best examples are found in posts where a question like " Should I use Av, Tv, or green box mode all the time?" and the poster lists $10K worth of equipment. Are you that stupid?
3) People who bump their threads. If it was worth posting to, it would be, if not, get over it. Take a creative writing class. Learn some jokes. If you are compelled to bring your sorry post to the top of the list ask a friend to hit the thread. Bumping it yourself tells me that not only is it a lousy post, but you have no friends. Damn, are you hoping to get a reply, or to make people feel sorry for what a loser you are? Good suggestion: Get a dog. It will love you as long as you feed it.
2) Complaints that Fred Miranda is making money on his website. Do you earn money? Do you think we should bitch that you are making a living? Is it a bad thing that people earn a living? Do you think we should all quit our jobs and run around with flowers in our hair. We tried that once and all it did was end a war. It didn't stop the Fred Mirandas from making a living.
1) People with less than 10 reasons.
0) People who refuse to post their name to their threads or in their sigs. I bet you losers also answer a phone and say "what?" instead of "hello." If you have any pride in your words sign your damn name to them. If you are afraid of an axe murderer finding out your true identity then use your neighbor's name. At least that way anal-retentive repliers can get a mental handle on your persona, and you can be polite at the same time.

I am so out of here. U all suck. I hope all of your batteries leak in your flashes.

Paul

This post has been online for about 12 hours now and has been understood and misunderstood in just about every way possible. Please enjoy ( or not ) the post and understand my intention.

First and foremost, this is not a "rant." I am not upset with anyone or any post. There is nothing that "set me off" because I am not set off. The intent was to entertain and have a little fun. Take it anyway you want, but that was why it was written. There are some truths in what I posted, but remember that's what made it fun to write, and hopefully for some of you fun to read. For those of you who didn't enjoy the humor, ignore this thread like you would any other annoying thread, that is up to you!

If there are messages I would like to convey, read below to understand them out of context of the above post.

1) Post nice or don't post. For example, telling someone to use a search engine. They don't work that well, and if you can't stand a repeat question, pass on it. You don't need to stick it in the posters face.
2) Ask if you want, but aren't you the one who should decide what lens to buy? Unless a reader here spends the afternoon shooting and getting to know you, how do you expect a reader to know what you should buy.
3) Respect your words. Respect the words of others. Spell as carefully as possible, make sense. If your words are important, put your name to them. Anonymity is the biggest thing people hide behind on the web when being rude or nasty. Would you talk that way to another person's face? Why would you do it here? Because you are anonymous and can get away with it? Why dont you behave like you would with people you actually know in person.
4) If you are going to post an image for critique, post your best work. Help is bountiful here, but you have to make the first step by putting your best foot forward.

Have fun with youir cameras and photography. There is a lot out there to learn, photograph, share and enjoy.

Paul

That was one of the most orginized and well said rant I think I have ever read. Well Done. Usually I just skim through these sort of post to get the main gist, but i actually read this and enjoyed it.

Bravo.

It's a good thing you're leaving, and I like the way you did #6 and kept bumping it.

Satirical comments? Why not? The sad part is that most of those people you refer to may not understand. Are you sure you're able to stay away for a week given that no one will be around to bump your post? Is your lack of response mean that you have a shortage of friends? lol...I just had to comment and give you a shameless bump! Totally too funy! Or is it serious?!

That was funny Melor. Can't believe that you left out the
- Canon 200/1.8L is overpriced
- 85/1.2L vs 1.8
- 24-70L stinks
- why is my 35/1.4L so soft
threads.

See ya next week.

2) only wanted to post 10 reasons.

Normally that would hurt my feelings, but:

7) You are Canadian
6) You don't care enough about your words to post a name to them. If you don't care, why should I?
1) I don't have Dennis Miller's writers, I even had to type this myself. What a job.
