I have an OM3 and love it. It has some weird quirks and I doubt OM system will ever produce meaningful firmware updates, but it's been great. I took it all around Europe, snowshoeing in the mountains over the winter, shoot in the rain, etc. It is heavy and bigger than I want for an EDC or daily cam though so hopefully this PEN will fill that gap and allow me to use all the m43 glass I've accumulated over the years now!
M4/3 rumors saying weather sealed. Flippy screen, ugh. But don’t think will ever see another flip up screen. Will be interesting to see final product. But lord knows I don’t “need” another camera
Very pretty. Have to believe it will have the OM5 II sensor/processor combo, which is disappointing. We'll see what the first looks have to say on Wednesday morning.

According to a hands on comment from Rednote, it will have the OM-5 sensor and OM-3 processor. That would then provide the basis for an OM-5iii upgrade. We will find out in 2 days.
“According to a post on Rednote by a person who tried it, this new OM PEN has the same CMOS as OM5 ii, but gets processor of OM3/OM1ii. update with bird recognition, sealed body, same screen and evf as om5 ii.”

That is also on the OM-3 and I believe refers to Slow or Quick (Fast) video.

It's basically a way to jump to slo-mo or timelapse fast.

A French retailer leaked a more complete specification listing, it's the same sensor and processor combo (TruePic IX), unfortunately. I suppose we could see some optimization performance but I doubt anything beyond that.

Somehow TruePic IX is able to support Subject Detection. I wonder if the OM-5 will get a firmware update to support this. There is also a new battery BLS-7, so maybe that is needed for some of the more advanced features.
